Tucker Taylor is a librarian, copyright educator, and editor with a passion for helping libraries navigate complex copyright issues. She serves as an editor for the Journal of Copyright in Education and Librarianship and is actively involved in copyright policy on ebooks legislation initiatives.  Tucker frequently presents on copyright topics for librarians and educators and is committed to making copyright more understandable and practical for all llibrary workers.

Public librarians encounter copyright issues every day, from storytimes to local history collections, displays, and patron services. This session provides a practical introduction to the copyright concepts and exceptions most relevant to public library work, including fair use and other exceptions.  Special attention will be given to issues that frequently arise in public libraries, such as programming, community engagement, and the use of historical materials.
