Shilpa Rele is the Scholarly Communication and Data Curation Librarian at Rowan University Libraries. She is an advocate for open access and has helped reframe conversations at her work around the intersecting ecosystems of scholarly communications, digital scholarship, and research data management. She has helped build effective collaborations at her work that have successfully helped advance scholarly communication and research data management initiatives. She is the co-author of the Journal Evaluation Tool, which assists authors to evaluate the credibility of publishing venues. She holds an MLIS from UCLA, MA in Art History from University of Minnesota and a BA in History from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India.
