As Assistant Dean for Collections and Curriculum Support at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Posie oversees departments that facilitate access to the Libraries’ general collections. She leads license agreement negotiations and faculty advisement on scholarly communication issues, including copyright.

Posie is currently pursuing an MSIT with a focus on cybersecurity at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Information Systems and Telecommunications Management from Syracuse University, an M.L.S. from the University of North Texas, and a B.M.E. and B.M. from Texas Tech University. She co-authored a chapter in the ALA monograph Textbooks in Academic Libraries and has recently published and presented on accessibility and the entrepreneurial uses of licensed databases.
