Patrick Newell serves as Dean of Meriam Library at California State University, Chico where he also serves as the main copyright educator for the campus.  His research efforts focus on policy implications for access to educational and informational resources and how education policy translates into institutional change.  He has been active in copyright education efforts with the American Library Association, including the CopyTalk webinar series and the Copyright Education Legislation and Action Network, and regionally in California.
