Bio
Helen Baer is an experienced archivist and digital collections manager with a background in digital collections, archives, project management, cataloging, metadata, collection management and public services, and acquisitions/donor relations. Prior to coming to Colorado State University, she was an Associate Curator of Performing Arts and later a Digital Projects Librarian at the Harry Ransom Center, an internationally renowned humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin, and a Metadata Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder. She has created metadata for a variety of cultural heritage materials, ranging from costumes and personal effects to print publications, using standards and vocabularies from across the library, archive, and museum domains. She now manages an open access consortial digital repository, Mountain Scholar, which provides institutional repository services to academic entities in Colorado.
