Carla Myers serves as Assistant Professor and Interim Head of Create & Innovate, Coordinator of Scholarly Communication for the Miami University Libraries. Her professional presentations and publications focus on fair use, copyright in the classroom, and library copyright issues. She has a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Akron and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Kent State University.

Imposter Syndrome...I do not think it means what you think it means.
Many copyright librarians report experiencing imposter syndrome, doubting their knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide quality information about the law and fearing any mistake will lead others to view them as a fraud. In this session, we'll take a closer look at the definition of imposter syndrome, turning it on its head and discussing the best practices, professional ethics, and librarian skills we can use to make sure we are providing copyright services in a thoughtful and efficient manner.
