Academic libraries rely heavily on exemptions within copyright law to achieve their aims, often looking to Section 108 for guidance. However, in an increasingly digital environment, librarians need to employ several exemptions simultaneously, beyond and in addition to 108, to meet the needs of their community. In this session, we will discuss how to mix and match various copyright exemptions for maximum impact. Participants will create their own exemptions quick-reference flashcards for on the job use.
