Siyao Cheng

Siyao Cheng is a doctoral candidate at the School of Information Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and earned her MSLIS from UIUC. With a keen focus on the intersection of copyright, education, and information science, her dissertation research develops copyright pedagogical tools grounded in theories of student emotion, everyday information practices, and diverse learning styles. In addition to her work in copyright education, Siyao has contributed to a variety of research projects spanning STEM fields, animal science, aging awareness, and culinary practices. Her interdisciplinary experience reflects a versatile approach to research, combining analytical rigor with creativity and a commitment to bridging theory and practice across diverse domains.
