Increasingly positions for academic librarians are listing library license negotiations as part of either the required or desired skills. This can be understandably intimidating for anyone but with a little practice and the right tools reviewing the licensing language can actually be easy and maybe (gasp!) fun! In this presentation, attendees will discover tools and resources freely available to anyone to use in license review. Because license can include language limiting the rights normally allowed libraries under copyright law, techniques for identifying those limiting clauses will be explored along with suggested template language.
